Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Public Improvement, upon which bids are requested, generally consists of demolition of the remains of the former CRANDIC Railroad Bridge over the Cedar River to make way for the construction of the new Lightline Bridge for connecting trails along the Cedar River, south of the intersection of Hull Avenue SE and 10th Street SE. THE SITE IS ACCESSIBLE FROM THE CITY PROPERTY AT THE NORTH END OF THE BRIDGE (EAST RIVERBANK). THE CONTRACTOR SHALL NOT ACCESS THE EXISTING BRIDGE FROM THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE RIVER UNLESS THE CONTRACTOR MAKES ARRANGEMENTS WITH THE SOLID WASTE AGENCY AND PROVIDES ARRANGMENT INFORMATION TO THE CITY. THE CEDAR VALLEY NATURE TRAIL IS TO REMAIN OPEN AT ALL TIMES.
