Specifications include, but are not limited to: CBX has an underground project in a HOA in Government Camp called Alpenglade. There is currently a new UG network that needs expansion to the rest of the home sites in Alpenglade. CBX wants to expand the existing UG network to all 52 home sites. This will require new backbone undergrounding of approximately 1,900 ft and approximately 5,000 ft of laterals to the home sites along with the installation of 10 new 24x36x36 vaults installed. For the backbone conduit, we would like that installed to a rough depth of 36 inches and the lateral lines installed roughly 18 inches deep. Contractor will provide a pull string in all new conduit installed. Please provide a per foot cost for both the backbone and lateral undergrounding and the placement of the 10 vaults. CBX will provide the vaults, 2” conduit and 1 “conduit for the project. Include a per foot rock adder cost as a separate line item. CBX will choose the contractor with the lowest combined costs of the backbone, lateral and vault installation costs. Attached is a preliminary design for the bore paths. Paths may change based on existing ground conditions. Specifications • Contractor is required to maintain normal traffic movement during the construction of this underground facilities. • Contractor can either trench or bore, depending on the surrounding areas. • Contractor to provide a detailed “as-built” set of drawings to include, but not limited to, the location of all placed conduit along with the depth of the conduit. • All 90 degree bends are to be “sweep” bends, 3’ radius, unless otherwise specified. • Backfill around vault excavation shall be ¾” – 0 crushed rock placed in 6” lifts and compacted. • Backbone UG facilities to be 2” conduit and buried ~3 ft deep. • Lateral UG facilities to be 1” conduit and buried ~18 inches deep. Splicing Requirements: • No splicing required as part of the project.
