Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Department of Family and Community Services, Division of Juvenile Justice, is soliciting proposals from eligible medical healthcare providers to provide as-needed medical services to the resident youth, ages 12-20 years at the Johnson Youth Center located at 3252 Hospital Drive, Juneau, Alaska. Medical services include: resident physical exam within 7 days of admission, STI screening and treatment, medication management and immunizations, routine follow-up, minor office procedures, substance abuse screening, written standing orders and protocols for JYC nursing and other medical evaluations of residents as needed. 2. Conduct routine office visits and physical exams at the Johnson Youth Center. Service delivery may be conducted via HIPAA compliant videoconferencing/telehealth when necessary. Videoconferencing/telehealth services will only be paid on the actual professional services provided and not the use of technological equipment in accordance with 7 AAC 110.635(b). 3. Provide appropriate referrals to specialist for medical conditions that cannot be properly treated by the contractor. 4. Provide written standing order/protocols for JYC nursing for routine assessment and treatment of residents. 5. Generate electronic notes via the Divisions electronic health record OR generate legible notes and evaluations within 24-48 hours of seeing residents. Evaluations and notes must include treatment plans and goals for the resident.
