Specifications include, but are not limited to: The requirement for providing hazardous waste response disposal and used oil collection and disposal at facilities within Honolulu and Kalaeloa Barbers Point Harbors are to be provided by the contractor on an as needed basis as called for in these Specifications at the applicable unit bid price during the term of this contract and in such cases as may be required by the State. Perform other miscellaneous work as listed in the tasks of services will be required. The Contractor shall dispose hazardous wastes pursuant to Chapter 342J, Hazardous Waste, Hawaii Revised Statutes. Provide and maintain a twenty-four (24) hour, seven-days-a-week contact phone number at all times during the contract to receive a task order from the DOTH and respond to an event. 1. Hazardous waste shall not be stored or mixed with the used waste petroleum oil facilities. No hazardous waste shall be allowed to be stored on State property that is violation of State or federal law 2. Implement safety pre-cautions to contain or prevent a release of hazardous waste into the environment. 3. Coordinate with the ODM to secure the site for safety barricades, spill containment, or other support as the event requires. 4. Identify and relocate the hazardous waste into the hazardous waste placement units with spill containments to prevent a release of hazardous waste into the environment. 5. Identify the non-hazardous waste that can be safely moved and disposed of by DOTH personnel into trash bins for disposal at the municipal landfill or incineration plant, or other facility permitted by HDOH. 6. Services include the collecting, delivery, obtaining laboratory test results pursuant to the EPA or HDOH recommended laboratory testing methods, conduct the quality assurance review of the lab results, and determine the proper disposal and the coordination in disposing the waste.
