Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Salem Parks and Recreation Services is looking for security services on ongoing basis and especially during Softball Season at Wallace Marine Park and Holiday Lights at Riverfront Park that meets the following specifications: - Marked security vehicle that with security staff will drive thru 2-3 times per shift - Full professional uniform - Trained and be able to use non-lethal weapons, such as mace or taser - Trained on how to deal with vulnerable population - Able to de-escalate stressful situations - Two (2) staff per shift on Friday and Saturday nights o One (1) to patrol the parking lot and watch the front gate area o One (1) to patrol the perimeter fence and help, if needed, with issues inside the complex - Time of Services: April 1 – October 31, 7-days a week for Softball Season - Hours: o League nights Monday-Thursday from 4 p.m. to midnight or until staff is done o Friday from 4 p.m. – 1 a.m. or until staff is done o Weekend tournaments Saturday – Sunday from 6 a.m. – midnight or until staff is gone o National Tournament week – last 10 days in July on 24-hours basis o Men’s National Tournament – last extended weekend (Friday – Monday) in August on 24-hours basis - Holiday Lights: last week of November to the first week of January based on set up and take down - Be flexible, if needed, to adding additional hours as situation needs.
