Specifications include, but are not limited to: Course Scope: This one-year completer course is designed for students who have successfully completed Principles of Health Science. Areas of emphasis include biostatistics, epidemiology, public health, substance abuse, personal health, cellular and molecular biology, and environmental health. Instructional practices incorporate integration of diversity awareness including appreciation of all cultures and their important contributions to society. The appropriate use of technology is an integral part of this course. This course fulfills one of the Arts/Humanities/CTE credits required for high school graduation and may count towards the College and Career Ready Flex Credit requirements for the Standard Diploma.
