Specifications include, but are not limited to: This one-year course will introduce students to the energy industry. Students will gain an understanding of environmental impacts, availability of energy resources and apply the engineering design process to technologies to explore energy principles. Areas of emphasis include safety procedures, equipment, tools, basic electricity principles, and various energy sources. Instructional practices incorporate integration of diversity awareness including appreciation of all cultures and their important contributions to society. The appropriate use of technology is an integral part of this course. This course fulfills one of the Arts/Humanities/CTE credits required for high school graduation.
