Specifications include, but are not limited to: The State intends to make a noncompetitive purchase with Nutrition United, Inc. to provide nutrition services to individuals ages 60 and older throughout Benson, Cavalier, Eddy, Ramsey, Rolette, and Towner counties in the Lake Region area of North Dakota (excluding the Spirit Lake and Turtle Mountain Indian Reservations). Nutrition services shall include: Congregate meals provided in a group setting a minimum of three days per week. Home-delivered meals (which includes take-out, drive-by, grab and go’s, etc.) provided a minimum of five days per week. Nutrition education. Referrals for nutrition counseling for identified high-risk nutrition individuals in the annual assessment process. Referrals to connect individuals to other social and supportive services. The congregate setting should be welcoming and pleasant where individuals can gather for a meal and socialize. Some factors to consider are accessibility, parking, visibility, public transportation access, and colocation with other services and activities.
