Specifications include, but are not limited to: 3.1. Contracts resulting from this proposal are intended to be utilized for Tree related services, including but not limited to tree felling, pruning, trimming, associated cleanup including removals, chipping, and brushing; stump grinding; right-of-way clearing; emergency work; and/or pre-commercial thinning on an as-needed basis. Projects are not to exceed $80,000 including all costs associated with the individual project, such as labor, material, equipment, etc. 3.2. Types of work anticipated under the eventual contract include but are not limited to: 3.2.1. Tree felling, pruning and/or trimming 3.2.1.1. Trees marked for these services are typically for enhancing tree health or for eliminating defective and potentially dangerous trees from within State Park camping and picnicking areas, roadways, recreation areas and/or trails. 3.2.1.2. Trees will be identified and marked in advance by the State, or described based on diameter, species, distance from a target, or a combination thereof. 3.2.2. Tree cleanup services 3.2.2.1. Services typical include cutting, processing, disposal or transport (off or onsite) of logs and round wood. 3.2.2.2. Chipping of waste brush; some projects may require offsite transport and disposal of chips. 3.2.3. Tree cabling, tree bracing, and tree support 3.2.3.1. Services to improve the structural integrity and reduce risk of failure in select trees of high landscape value. 3.2.3.2. Materials and techniques shall comply with published industry standards. 3.2.4. Brush cutting 3.2.4.1. Services typical include hand brushing to facilitate view shed maintenance 3.2.5. Stump grinding 3.2.5.1. Services typical include stump grinding on campsites, lawn areas and may/may not involve cleanup 3.2.6. Pre-commercial thinning of trees by girdling and felling 3.2.6.1. Services typical include apple tree release and crop tree release by use of chainsaw or brush saw 3.2.7. Powerline Right-of-Way Clearing 3.2.7.1. Services typical include brush clearing under power line and associated infrastructure, pruning of mature trees with interfering branches within the utility right-of-way. Flagging services may be required if work is completed within a highway right-of-way. 3.2.8. Consulting services 3.2.8.1. Services typical include identification and marking of hazard trees, assessment of tree health, diagnosis of disease and insects. 3.2.9. Integrated Pest Management 3.2.9.1. Services typical include pruning, application of systemic insecticides and foliar application of pesticides. 3.2.10.Emergency Work 3.2.10.1. Services typical include emergency call ins during nonbusiness hours for storm related tree damages requiring immediate response to mitigate an imminent threat.
