Specifications include, but are not limited to: Furnish Sodium Hypochlorite on An As-Needed Basis – Asplund Wastewater Treatment Facility to the Municipality of Anchorage (MOA), Anchorage Water and Wastewater Utility (AWWU). 410,000 GAL 12.5% Sodium Hypochlorite on an “As Needed” basis. Bids shall include all expenses incurred by the contractor in accomplishing the work outlines in the scope of work in accordance with the performance specifications. Each truck used by the contractor will be licensed as according to State of Alaska and Federal Regulations. Contractor shall provide 12.5% Sodium hypochlorite solution that shall: 1) Conform to the following: a. Available chlorine (percent by weight) minimum: 12.5 b. Specific gravity @ 20°C: 1.19 – 1.2 c. Liquid Color: clear to white-pale yellow d. Insoluble mater (percent by weight), maximum:0.15 e. Total free alkali (NaOH) (percent by weight): 0.4 – 1.5 f. Deterioration of available Cl after 20 days (percent by weight) maximum: 5 g. pH, minimum: 11.5 h. Temperature during transit and upon delivery must never exceed 25°C. 2) Not contain contaminants greater than the following concentrations: a. Iron, mg/L: 0.3 b. Copper, mg/L: 0.03 c.
