Specifications include, but are not limited to: Douglas County Project No. C-28(405) 168th Street and State Street Improvements (Grading, Storm Sewer, Paving, Traffic Signal, and Erosion Control): Douglas County is requesting bids from qualified companies, herein called Bidder, Contractor, Vendor, Supplier, or other pronouns used in their place, for all work and/or goods set forth; Phase 1: Construction shall take place from approximately September 18, 2023 through April 1, 2024. During this phase, only the east leg of the intersection may be closed to traffic (State Street from 168th Street to HWS Cleveland Blvd) to facilitate removals and grading in the northeast corner of the intersection. This grading work is a prerequisite for the utility relocation work that must occur during the fall and winter portion of Phase 1. In conjunction with the removals and grading, the State Street box culvert embankment, settlement, and construction shall occur during this time. During Phase 1, any other removals, grading, and other work along the shoulders of the north, south, and west legs of the project can be completed that does not require any lane or street closures. Phase 2: Construction shall begin on approximately April 1, 2024 and proceed through approximately November 1, 2024. During this phase, the entire intersection of 168th and State Street may be closed in all directions. All remaining removals and grading within the project area shall take place during this phase, followed by subsequent construction activities. Work in localized intersections connecting adjacent neighborhoods shall be phased to maintain access for neighborhood traffic throughout the construction process.
