Specifications include, but are not limited to: (1) Cameras and DVR must be able to record at a 1080p digital video resolution. (2) Each camera must record color, night vision, and audio. (3) Cameras should have the ability to record with IR LED’s that turn on/off with varying light conditions. (4) Each camera must include a microphone to capture audio. (5) Cameras must be tamper-proof, weatherproof, moisture-resistant, resistant to vandalism, and shock resistant. (6) Cameras and DVR must record up to five minutes after the bus ignition has been turned off (power assisted). (7) Cameras and DVR must have a multi-year warranty. (8) Equipment installed must include a panic button that allows drivers to pinpoint recorded incidents. (9) Equipment installed must indicate whether equipment is operating and recording visually to allow for a pre-trip inspection. (10) DVR’s removable solid state hard drive must have a multi-year warranty.
