Specifications include, but are not limited to: The observation wells will be drilled to anticipated nominal depths of 850, 550, 325, & 175 feet below ground surface. The sites are located within or adjacent to a fault zone and there is discrepancy in reported depth to basalt formations in these logs, so the Well Constructor should expect uncertainty regarding the depth to anticipated water bearing zones. As such, actual well depth and completion intervals will be determined by the OWRD hydrogeologist present onsite based on observed drill cuttings, hydraulics, and other site factors. The goals of the Milton-Freewater Eastside Observation Well Project are to: - Complete four (4) observation wells at different depths at a single location in the Walla Walla Sub-Basin (WWSB) - Collect Representative cuttings from the boreholes to define site geologic stratigraphy. - Conduct borehole flow tests periodically during drilling. - Complete observation wells in discrete aquifer zones for the purpose of long-term water level monitoring
