Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Nashua is seeking bids for the construction of a segment of the proposed Nashua Riverwalk extending from the Main Street Nashua River bridge for a distance of 375 feet westerly along the north side of the Nashua River towards Front Street. Portions of the boardwalk will be suspended from the existing 53 Main Street building foundation, while the remainder will be supported on concrete footings or drilled concrete pier foundations. Proposed improvements include the construction of the boardwalk, demolition and reconstruction of the existing deck at 53 Main Street, removal of a portion of the concrete bridge rail on the Main Street Bridge, boardwalk connections to the sidewalk at the Main Street Bridge on the east and to the existing Riverwalk path on the west, and associated new lighting. Other work includes but is not limited to underground utility coordination, and coordinating electrical service for the decorative rail lighting system.
