Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Missouri Department of Transportation is requesting bid to remove the existing architectural asphalt roof and install a new architectural asphalt roof, located at 2620 Adie Rd., Maryland Heights, MO 63034. Work includes removal of existing asphalt shingles and felt paper on the building and discarding all the debris off-site. Contractor to remove and install new 4’x 8’ sheets of 5/8” roof sheathing included in the bid, if needed for water damage. Sheathing only installed upon approval of District Contact. District Contact will determine number of sheets of sheathing to be replaced only if necessary. Upon District approval, change order will be processed and contractor will be required to sign before installation of sheathing. Change order will only be processed for the submitted installed unit cost per sheathing. Install 30lb. synthetic felt paper over the entire roof and new drip edge. Install 36” of ice and water protection up from gutter board edge around the perimeter of the building. Replace all rubber boots on existing penetrations. Install required flashing to ensure that roof is water-tite. Install continuous ridge vent. Install new architectural shingles. Installation of asphalt shingles must be completed during a 48 hour time period with a minimum air temperature of 50 degrees. Contractor is responsible for final material quantities and must follow the specifications attached in the bid package as well as manufactures install requirements. Provide a one-year labor warranty on all work performed.
