Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Base bid: The contractor shall remove and replace Twenty-Eight (28) existing Septic Tank Effluent Pump (STEP) sewer services and install new STEP Systems. This shall include locating, pumping, removing, and disposing existing STEP tanks, removing and disposing existing STEP control panels, installing new complete STEP Services and Shutoff Valves, reconnecting to existing inlet and discharge piping, backfill and grading, and all necessary electrical improvements to connect new STEP control panels. Existing STEP tanks being removed shall be completely pumped of sludge and liquid, and disposed at the City landfill. Remove and replace approximately 1,320 linear feet of electric heat trace and three (3) heat trace portable power points on Amos Avenue sewer lateral. Install four (4) heat trace termination points. At Site #1 (City Office – Cap’n Snow Building), furnish and install new 4,000-Gallon, 2-Compartment Steel Pretreatment septic tank and new 4”x12” HDPE arctic gravity sewer piping. Locate and abandon existing pre-treatment tanks by filling with sand slurry. 2. Additive alternate #1 – Pressure Sewer Service Lines: The contractor shall replace twenty-eight (28) existing Pressure Sewer Service Lines from the STEP Tank shutoff valve to the Sewer Main with new 2” x 8” Arctic Pipe and Electric Heat Trace. 3. Additive alternate #2 – Lagoon Site Improvements: The contractor shall furnish and install Lagoon Site Improvements as shown on Drawing Sheets C2.1 and C2.2, including removal and re-installation of site fencing, connection to existing Effluent Sewer Main, new 2” x 8” Effluent Sewer piping and valves with electric heat trace, new 8,000 Gallon Steel Septic tank, new 4” x 12” gravity piping to existing seepage lagoon, removal and disposal of existing lagoon aeration piping, liners, and transfer structure, regrading of lagoon site.
