Specifications include, but are not limited to: The State of Nebraska (State), Department of Administrative Services (DAS), Materiel Division, State Purchasing Bureau (SPB), is issuing this solicitation for a commodity contract, ITB Number 6791 OF for the purpose of selecting a qualified Bidder to provide Temporary Sign Stands. Sign Stands and Upright Supports shall provide wind resistance by means of steel coiled springs or protruded fiberglass leaf-spring. Sign mounting height shall be adjustable with the minimum height being twelve inches (12”) above ground. Component part will be comprised primarily of galvanized steel, stainless steel, or aluminum. Will be two (2)-part adjustable support with both rigid and roll-up sign bracket accessories. Sign Brackets shall be rigid and must securely hold the sign panels of both rectangular and diamond shapes. Roll Up Sign Brackets must securely hold the sign by means of a pressure plate clamp system with end anchors. The pressure plate clamp shall attach to the roll-up sign fiberglass bracing and be compatible with all major roll-up signs. Sign Stands shall have four (4) legs. Each leg shall have a leg-locking pin with a simple foot-release lever. The base of the Sign Stand shall have a minimum of three (3) leg-locking pinholes for each leg. One (1) hole for storage and two (2) pinholes at different levels for leg deployment. Each leg shall be independently adjustable. Each leg shall have a rubber foot pad riveted to the end of the leg to prevent the stand from potentially “walking” in gusts of wind. Legs shall be extendable to provide a larger ground support area. Leg extensions must lock in position with a locking pin easily operated with a gloved hand. Base dimensions with legs fully extended shall be a minimum size of thirty-eight inches (38”) wide by eighty inches (80”) deep.
