Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Work under this contract includes demolishing the existing Return Activated Sludge and South Primary Effluent flumes at the Aeration Mixing box, installing new magnetic flow meters, constructing a new 42-inch force main from the South Primary Pump Station to the Aeration Basin, and all necessary electrical and control connections for startup and commissioning. a. South Primary Effluent (SPE) Pump Station (PS) 1) Demolition of aboveground SPE pipeline components: a) 90-degree elbow b) Flow control valve, Wetwell recycle valves, and actuators c) Coupling and pipe support at Select Treatment (ST) tower connection 2) Installation of new concrete slab and associated SPE piping components: a) 36-inch SPE piping b) Magnetic flow meters c) Flow Control Valves and Actuator Assemblies 3) Electrical and Instrumentation and Control: Installation of new conduits for power and signal wiring for flow meters and flow control valves. b. SPE pipeline/Civil Site Work 1) Installation of below grade 42-inch SPE pipeline 2) Trench backfill and replacement of asphalt pavement, curb, and gutter within the pipeline alignment. 3) Replacement of sidewalks and other surface features and restoration of landscaping disturbed by pipeline work. 4) Construction of new asphalt SPE PS access road 5) Replacement or relocation of disturbed utilities 6) Erosion and sediment controls c. Aeration Basins (AB) 1) AB Mixing Box a) Demolition of existing Parshall flumes and restoration of concrete channel. b) Modifications to former Return Activated Sludge (RAS) vertical shaft c) Replacement of existing grating 2) AB Inlet Box a) Aboveground 42-inch SPE pipe penetration 3) RAS Pipeline Modifications (north wall of AB) a) Demolition of below grade 30-inch RAS piping b) Installation of new concrete slab and associated RAS piping components: (1) 20-inch and 30-inch RAS piping (2) Magnetic flow meter (3) Valving c) Electrical and Instrumentation and Control: Installation of new conduits for power and signal wiring for flow meter. d. Temporary Flow Diversions a) Coordinate with Plant staff to provide temporary connections and piping to keep the following processes in service: (1) SPE (2) RAS (3) Trickling Filter Effluent (TFE)
