Specifications include, but are not limited to: This project includes the construction of a new bus station at the northeast corner of 6th Avenue South and South 2nd Street. This includes the construction of a 600 square foot CMU block building per the plans, connection of all utilities and new concrete pavement. 6" concrete pavement on 4" rock base; Includes furnishing, transporting, and placement of all concrete & sub-base materials for this bid item. The item also includes steel reinforcement, saw cutting, and curing compound. Maximum joint spacing shall be 6 feet for sidewalk and 10 feet for parking lots. After saw cutting, all joints shall be cleaned with compressed air, and sealed as shown on the Iowa SUDAS details or as directed by the Engineer. Longitudinal joint tie bars as described in the general construction notes shall be considered incidental to this pay item. The final finish shall be secured by using a burlap drag, broom finish, or approved equal. All 6” thick concrete pavement must be constructed in accordance with Iowa SUDAS and Iowa DOT specifications, unless specifically directed otherwise by Engineer. The item also includes a 4 inch granular sub-base compacted to no less than 95 percent of standard proctor density.
