Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Set-Aside Trade Labor Contract for Academic Renovations program is intended to provide a rapid response to the needs of the University of Connecticut’s Department of Academic Renovations to perform tasks within a limited window of opportunity in the renovation and refurbishment of University facilities including, but not limited to laboratories, libraries, academic and other departmental offices, student recreation and dining facilities, classrooms and lecture halls at the Storrs campus and regional campus locations including, but not limited to: Avery Point, Hartford, West Hartford, Stamford, Waterbury, and the University of Connecticut Health Center (UCH) in Farmington. The awarded General Contractor shall provide skilled trades persons thru either in-house personnel or subcontractors, able to perform tasks for individual Work Orders requiring construction and renovation work including but not limited to: layout and framing of walls, wallboard installation, acoustical ceiling installations, doors and windows and related hardware installations, installation of laboratory casework and work surfaces, masonry, flooring prep and installation, drywall finishing and painting, and MEP services.
