Specifications include, but are not limited to: TEMPORARY ACCESS ROAD Construction of Temporary Access Road to be created to divert traffic from the Bayo Road when the 10” sewer line is being placed. The temporary road will be created with 3” of millings produced from the Bayo Road surfacing. Installation of 5-24” galvanized storm drain-pipe (“SDP”) will need to be placed in crossing drainage paths prior to placing the millings. Bayo Road A new asphalt road surface from approximately Sta. 1+50 to approximately Sta. 20+40 on the road to the Bayo Wastewater Treatment Plant (“WWTP”) will be redone after the gravity 10” sewer line is placed. The road profile will adjust to accommodate a new V-ditch that will be lined with generated millings to help with drainage on the roadway and the asphalt pavement section will be 3” of SP IV over 6” of base course. Removal and replacement of existing SDP will be required, with new 24” aluminized SDP. Each inlet will have rip rap and an end-section while the outlet will have a new end-section. Sewer Line Work The gravity sewer will be the installation of 1,902 LF of 10” PVC Sewer Pipe and 503 LF of Ductile Iron Pipe (“DIP”) that will begin by intercepting an uphill manhole before the existing Bayo Lift Station. There will be an installation of 9- 4’ Diameter Manholes to where the 10” DIP sewer line will then penetrate an existing manhole at the Bayo Treatment Plant. Once the system is operational the existing Bayo Lift Station will then be demolished while salvaging the internal components for future use by LA County. After the gravity sewer line is operational then the 8” force main will be capped and abandoned at both ends.
