Specifications include, but are not limited to: The project consists of a West End Water Treatment Plant (WEWTP) capable of treating Yellowstone River water either directly from a Billings Bench Water Association (BBWA) diversion facility or from future reservoirs to meet all primary drinking water standards. The WEWTP will deliver up to 18 MGD and be expandable to 36 MGD. Process design includes rapid mix chemical pre-treatment, flocculation, sedimentation and membrane filtration. Filtered water will be delivered to the City’s distribution system by pumping from a below-grade clearwell through high service pumps. WEWTP building design, yard piping connections and residual solids handling facilities are also included in the project.
