Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Sharon Sirois, Dover Facilities and Grounds Superintendent will notify the contractor when there is work to be done and advise him of the location(s) of the work being requested. 2. The Contractor may be required to provide a written quotation for certain specific jobs, at bid rates, with a NOT TO EXCEED PRICE prior to the commencement of any work. 3. Timely Response: The work is to be done within ten (10) working days after notification, except in an emergency situation, in which case response will be no later than twentyfour (24) hours after notification, perhaps sooner depending upon circumstances. Telephone communication to a vendor will be at least acknowledged with a call-back to the City within twenty-four (24) hours. 4. The Contractor shall notify the Facilities and Grounds or the Facility, Grounds & Cemetery Supervisor twenty-four (24) hours in advance of any work. 5. A registered arborist shall be responsible for all work. For trees to be cabled: Any limb over 8” in diameter, a 5/8” galvanized lag bolt shall be used; any limbs under 8” in diameter, a ½” lag bolt shall be used. Any galvanized cable used shall be a minimum of 5/16”. All pruning shall be done to National Arborist Standards.
