Specifications include, but are not limited to: develop and deliver culturally connected health and wellness education directed towards Native American audiences specific to opioid misuse/abuse prevention and awareness. Materials should be designed to directly connect Native Americans to critical health education on wellness and disease prevention in this regard and should specifically target Native American children, youth, and young adults. In addition, the materials should encourage viewer engagement with high impact programming that is culturally reflected and community-connected. The programming should engage viewers in a way that increases their overall health literacy (irregardless of the patients’ reading literacy) and encourage the viewer to exercise individual empowerment and self-care related to potential for opioid use/misuse. Developed programming should air daily in facilities serving tribal viewers within reservation communities, schools, tribal or IHS health facilities and urban tribal centers across South Dakota.
