Specifications include, but are not limited to: Texas State University San Marcos, in its quest to becoming a nationally competitive research university, desires to have a pool of highly qualified Architects/Engineers available to provide state-of-the-art designs and renovations to our existing research and scientific laboratories at both the Texas State University-San Marcos Campus and, the Texas State University-Round Rock Higher Education Campus. Firms must have experience in designing and renovating wet/dry laboratories, clean rooms, bioscience labs, and spaces to accommodate fume hoods and other specialized lab equipment. Many of these labs require constant and reliable temperature and humidity controls as well as dust control. Revisions to such labs may include, but is not limited to: Plumbing systems involving potable and non-potable water services, lab waste systems, purified water services Renovations of existing HVAC systems, including new air handlers, fume hood exhaust fans, ductwork, controls, chiller piping & pumps, and other HVAC piping Electrical work involving replacement of interior panels, new branch circuitry for power and lighting, modification of existing fire alarm systems, and standby generators
