Basic construction will consist of selected demolition and renovations as required to provide the following total project: Unit Training Equipment Site Major Maintenance. Work involves renovation of a 7,400 square foot military vehicle maintenance shop comprised of work bays, administrative offices, latrines and support spaces. Project scope includes, but is not limited to: selective demolition, slab repair, compliance with TAS / ADA / Life Safety standards, renovation of existing latrines to include showers, HVAC system upgrades, electrical upgrades, telecom / data upgrades, new doors and hardware, painting, removal and replacement of windows, removal and replacement of flooring and ceilings, replacement of lighting fixtures, removal and replacement of 5 ton bridge crane in shop area, new entry sidewalk, replacement of overhead doors and miscellaneous loading dock improvements. Alternates include: demolition of existing parking lot and resurfacing with asphalt paving, installation of prefabricated metal canopy at main building entry, supplemental solar hot water heating system, and lighting upgrade to LED fixtures. The General Contractor shall have overall responsibility for providing all work necessary as delineated on the Plans and in the Specifications to provide a complete and usable facility.
