Specifications include, but are not limited to: This project consists of, but is not limited to major interior building renovations at the Weeks building with limited exterior site and building work at both the Weeks and Hanks buildings. At Weeks, the scope includes demolition of an exterior handicap ramp, two exterior fire stairs and selective removal of interior masonry bearing walls for the new building plan. New work at Weeks requires a minor amount of structural steel support work and infill masonry. The Weeks interior will also receive all new mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, insulation, framing and architectural finish systems. The exterior of Weeks will require masonry reconstruction of historic preservation quality to infill the two demolished fire stairs as well as concrete foundation repairs and selective brick masonry cleaning, repair, and repointing to Secretary of Interior standards of quality. Both Weeks and Hanks will require new concrete and granite handicap ramps and a minor amount of site work. A new slate and copper roof for Weeks and four other Alternates are under consideration.
