Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Historic Sites Division of the Texas Historical Commission wishes to contract for Architectural/Engineering (A/E) services with a qualified individual or firm for the design of the renovation of the Museum and the construction of a new maintenance building at the Mission Dolores State Historic Site. The site address is 701 S. Broadway, San Augustine, Texas 75972. The museum was constructed in 1996 with slab on grade foundation, wood frame, and a standing seam galvalume metal roof. The exterior siding includes a combination of Hardi-plank and stone veneer. The building is a total of approximately 7,000 sq. ft. The new maintenance building is to be constructed adjacent to the museum, and will be a pre-engineered metal building with new utilities. The general scope of work for the museum renovation includes: • Implement recommendations provided in a recent structural evaluation of movement in the floor slabs. The final report will be provided to the selected firm. • Implement recommendations provided in a recent HVAC evaluation. The final report will be provided to the selected firm. Revise climate control as appropriate for renovated spaces. Confirm compliance with THC curatorial standards. • Enclose the breezeway between the north and south wings of the building to create new entry point. • Renovate the south wing interior to increase area available for exhibits. • Reconfigure the north wing to provide private offices, meeting/classroom space, etc. Remodel the bathrooms
