The State of Vermont, through the Department of Public Safety, operates a statewide digital microwave system which supports two-way radio and data communications for state, county and local law enforcement agencies, the Agency of Transportation and several smaller groups of governmental customers. The digital microwave network is physically collocated with many LMR radio sites that are installed at rural mountain top locations. Accessing these sites will require the contractor to maintain specialized off-road motorized equipment and have staff capable of either hiking or snowshoe into the sites. Additional services to be provided: 24/7/365 on call to respond to network outages and problems Annual microwave PM’s on all radios Monthly Site visits and checks Weekly system wide RSL checks Complete and submit monthly work log to DPS Radio Technology Services Bi-weekly generator run report Performance reports completed on PBX services and ports, State Police Radio Network services and ports, and PSAP dispatch console services and ports Management of spares to include repair and return of faulty parts MPLS network administrator: build all configurations that may be needed in the network, and deletion of any old unused configurations. Provide regular, daily in most cases, feedback about the condition of the system for present and future planning.
