Specifications include, but are not limited to: The successful supplier will respond to all HVAC calls within two hours. The Supplier will diagnose and make minor repairs. These repairs will be $2,500.00 or less. All repairs over $2,500.00 will require sending a diagnostic report including a plan of action for said repair to Area Managers & Sr. Manager over Area Maintenance. Major repairs consist of the repair or replacement of moving parts, motors, starters and main table components that may have failed unexpectedly. From time to time, during the performance of first response services, the temporary provision and installation of aircooled chillers, water-cooled chillers, boilers, cooling towers, generators, and accessory items will be required to maintain service operations. HISD maintains a firm fixed price annual conctact for the provision of such HVAC rental equipment as its primary source of supply. As a result, upon the discovery of the need for this type of rental equipment, the awarded First Resonse Contractor shall utilize the HISD designated Rental Equipment contractor to provide the necessary equipment at the designated Elementary, Middle and Senior High Schools or other HISD facility. Prior to the scheduling of any temporary rental equipment, the First Responder contractor shall coordinate a plan of action for said rental equipment with the responsible HISD Area Manager. If the HISD contracted supplier for rental equipment is not able to provided the required temporary rental equipment, the the First Responder contractor upon approval from the HISD Area Manager, shall furnish all material, tools, and labor to temporarily install the required equipment and accessory items as needed.
