Specifications include, but are not limited to:The School Psychologist will become an active member of the school team. The psychologist will evaluate students, participate in meetings as a resource to determine educational programs and provide social skills training. Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments and develop Positive Behavior Support Plans. • Conducts psychoeducational assessments as delineated by federal, state, and local regulations and procedures. • Provide social skills and short-term counseling to students. • Support staff with writing measurable, observable behavior IEP goals. • Support staff with monitoring progress through the structuring, collection and analysis of data. • Communicate and support administration/staff with the implementation of Positive Behavior Support Plans and/or behavioral services, supports, and accommodations. • Serve as an integral and active member of the Instructional Support Team. • Review psychoeducational and related assessments that accompany students registering in the district. • Participate in the IEP process where psychoeducational assessments are discussed in terms of explaining the assessments, determining eligibility for special education, discussing assessments to be used for reevaluations and/or where behavioral concerns will be discussed. • Complete written psycho educational reports. • Serve as facilitator of Manifestation Determination IEP meetings.
