Specifications include, but are not limited to: user-friendly interactive public health data query system, to meet the needs of the general public, public health partners, and the staff of the department. IBIS is a set of open source software that provides web-based real-time querying using Statistical Analysis System (SAS) datasets, the centralized management of indicator profiles, as well as other content, such as community health profiles. The system, designed by Software Technology Group, is available for use by all states at no charge and relies on a community of practice to share changes, report development, software updates, software patches, and enhancements to improve the system. The DoH is in process of migrating Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) reporting measures into the IBIS architecture.
