Proofs: High resolution, contract color proofs of all pages, plus complete laser imposition proof of guide. 3. Timeframe: (on or before) a. November 17, 2017: Artwork to printer. b. November 29, 2017: Printer to provide pre-press proofs. 1. On-site Press Check: Bid price must include the cost of having representatives of the ND Dept. of Commerce attend on-site press checks. Bidders are NOT to figure in the related travel expenses but to include any expenses that the actual press checks may incur; such as press-time, make-ready waste, etc. The ND Dept. of Commerce will pay their own related expenses for travel (airfare, rental car, mileage, etc.), meals and lodging in accordance with North Dakota Fiscal and Administrative Policy for their representatives. The Dept. of Commerce would prefer to have this project on press during the first week of December and to press check both publications at the same time. 4. Pages: 144 pages of text plus 6 page, gatefold cover. 5. Page Size: 8” x 10 ¾”. 6. Paper Stock: (please see Item 10, on page 6 of this bid for grading specs) a. Cover: 100# white gloss text, #3 or better (minimum 84 brightness). b. Text: 50# white gloss text, #3 or better (minimum 84 brightness). 7. Paper samples: Submit unprinted sample sheets of both stocks along with your bid. Failure to submit samples may result in bid rejection. 8. Printing: Four color process, 4/4, throughout, full bleeds. 9. Finishing: Fold, perfect bind, final trim 8” x 10 ¾”. 10. Packaging: a. Pack in uniform size cartons with 32# maximum weight per carton. b. Label cartons with “2018 ND Travel Guide” and quantity per carton. c. Skid pack or palletize cartons.
