Specifications include, but are not limited to:Seeking a vendor capable of providing an automated appointment reminder service to help WIC participants keep appointments. The automated appointment reminder service implemented should eliminate (or keep to a minimum) the need for WIC state staff and WIC agency staff to perform manual data extracts or maintain special equipment or phone lines. • Implement an automated appointment reminder system statewide for the ND WIC Program. • Identify any start-up costs to implement the automated appointment reminder service. • The automated appointment reminder system must send text and voice reminders to WIC participants for all 21 local ND WIC agencies. These WIC agencies include just under 12,000 participants or about 9,600 families. Email reminders is not required since we do not collect a WIC participant’s email address. • The automated appointment reminder system must send text and voices reminders to WIC participants, available in the following two languages: o English o Spanish • The automated appointment reminder system must send text and voice reminders to WIC participants: o who have scheduled appointments o who are due for recertification o who did not pick up their food benefits • The automated appointment reminder system will assist in the setup and configuration of the export file. • The automated appointment reminder system must generate a daily report on the call activity.
