Specifications include, but are not limited to:To request proposals for an entity to provide statewide family centered support and resources to children and their families in early intervention, birth through 2 years of age. The successful offeror must: 1. Be available to provide direct parent-to-parent emotional and informational support to families through a variety of activities, such as meeting individually with families, Individualized Family Service Plan meetings, setting up support groups, family survey, and facilitating parent-to-parent connections. 2. Be available to other Early Intervention professionals (i.e. medical staff, DDPMs, ID providers, etc.) to provide a family-centered experience/perspective and voice throughout Early Intervention services. 3. Provide support using their own personal experience and knowledge of the system. 4. Serve as a resource for DD and ID, to relay family needs and concerns. 5. Attend regional action plan meetings, other general supervision activities, DD staff meetings, ID staff meetings, and EI training as appropriate. 6. The successful offeror will be responsible for assuring that staff hired as Experienced Parents have a child currently in ID or had a child in ID that is currently under the age of 13, are not employed or contracted by an ID provider, and have knowledge of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act regulations, North Dakota EI system, and regional policies and procedures An offeror shall include in its proposal the number of staff that will be needed to complete the tasks identified in this RFP. The successful offeror will collaborate with DD and ID staff on planning regional Experienced Parents activities (play groups, newsletter, survey, etc.) other than direct family contact, to ensure that those opportunities are offered to all families involved in EI services. The successful offeror will complete Attachment A on a quarterly basis and submit to STATE by the 15th of the following month. STATE may modify the reporting requirement throughout the term of the contract.
