Must meet at minimum NCHRP 350 test level 3 requirements; including NCHRP 350 Test 3-50, Test 3-51, Test 3-52 and Test 3-53, (no exceptions). Axles a. Axle must meet the required gross vehicle weight rating of the trailer b. Equalizer spring or torsion suspension. Wheels and tires a. Sufficient sized wheels and tires that meets or exceeds the load rating of the trailer b. Galvanized steel rims c. Must provide one spare matching wheel and tire, with spare tire mount d. Meet Federal DOT requirements for conspicuity marking. Frame/Chassis a. Frame and chassis to be fabricated from corrosive resistant materials, such as aluminum or galvanized steel, painted steel is not acceptable on framework of TMA unit. b.
