Scope of Services: A. Project Design The selected engineering firm will be responsible for reviewing site conditions and developing the most suitable design of repair and renovations. Deliverables should include, but are not limited to an initial report of site utility conditions, analysis of existing electrical and HVAC loads and distribution, and recommendations and priorities of MEP systems requiring renovation, The MEP design must be in accordance with applicable current building codes and UNT design, and preparation of construction guidelines. Deliverables must also include the preparation of construction documents and specifications for competitive sealed bid proposals, proposal review of bidders, review of shop drawings, sub-contractor submittal review and preparation of as-built documents. 1) The Physics Buildings estimated cost for renovation/construction excluding design/engineering fees is $3,800,000.00. 2) The Auditorium Buildings estimated cost for renovation/construction excluding design/engineering fees is $3,600,000.00. B. Bidding The selected engineering firm is to attend all contractor pre-proposal contractor meetings and provide any additional documentation or assistance required during contractor bidding. C. Construction Administration The selected firm will regularly visit the site and attend contractor/owner/engineer periodic meetings and provide any necessary construction and post construction documentation including preparation of renovation/construction punch lists.
