The COUNTY intends to hire a contractor to provide the material, labor and freight necessary toreplace multiple air conditioning units at the Annex building located at 1301 Sam Houston Ave.,Huntsville, TX, 77340. This project is federally funded and therefore will involve certain reportingand compliance requirements.This project shall replace, install and balance HVAC equipment listed on Exhibit A.Contractor must pass all required inspections.Contractor must pull all required permits before the job starts and post permits at job site.Gas lines need to be connected per code requirements to the new units, including new ball valvedisconnects and drip legs.Correctly label new units with ID numbers.Units will require new drain lines with full P traps routed to the closest drain.All labor and installation shall carry a two (2) year warranty. HVAC units shall carry fullmanufacturer's warranty for parts and labor. Warranty shall not start on a unit until it has passedinspection by the County.All units must use 410A Freon.Contractor must verify that the current breaker is the correct size for new unit. Breakers under capacityshall be reported to the Walker County Maintenance Director immediately upon discovery. Contractoris responsible to upgrade the breaker to the correct size, and if needed, upgrade the power supply wireto the correct wire gauge as well.Contractor is responsible for the disposal of the old HVAC equipment and complete clean up of the jobsite when work is completed. See Exhibit I for Waste Management Plan. This Plan shall be followedwhile contract is enforce.Contractor will provide trade-in cost for old units on Exhibit B Bid Sheet. This trade-in will besubtracted from the cost of each new unit.Contractor shall provide close-out documentation that will include start up logs, unit operation andmaintenance manuals, and warranty information. These documents shall be given to the WalkerCOUNTY Maintenance Director or his designee upon completion of each unit installation No additional specifications were given.
