Specifications include, but are not limited to:provide technical assistance to women as entrepreneurs and existing business owners and technical assistance to rural North Dakota communities in business development, technology training and leadership development. Assist with development of new trainings or programs for rural outreach. The recipient agrees to provide technical assistance to Main Street businesses. The recipient also agrees to support the Governor’s Main Street Initiative to help communities maintain and/or revitalize their Main Street. As a Rural Development Council, help foster innovative approached to rural development. Develop resource networks to eliminate duplication of services and make existing programs deliver. Hold two in-person meetings per year to discuss rural initiative and to continue the open communication among the different entities involved. Work with partners on special initiatives as needs arise across the state. Initiatives could include working toward a solution to childcare shortages or providing roundtable discussions on specific topics.
