Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Appoquinimink School District is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide two therapeutic classrooms for students, grades 6-8 who have severe emotional needs that have not been responsive to the traditional school supports and interventions. As a result, the students are unable to benefit fully from participation in the academic services at a developmentally appropriate level. The overall goal is to increase instructional time for the identified students and to improve their ability to develop internal controls and constructive ways to respond to the school environment. The vendor is to establish a classroom environment that will teach students with severe emotional needs the skills needed to be successful in the traditional school setting.
