Specifications include, but are not limited to: provide statewide school based drop-out prevention services to at risk middle school students. The mission of the Division of Social Services is to provide, either directly or through coordination, an integrated system of opportunities, services, and income support which will enable Delaware's most disadvantaged individuals and families to maintain or move toward independence. The Division of Social services is seeking a vendor to provide twelve (12) months of school based drop-out prevention services for at risk middle school youth statewide. The vendor must provide services to “TANF” or “TANF-like children”(children receiving DSS benefits). The selected vendor will also provide a community service project for each youth to complete 10 hours of community services for the school year. The selected vendor must develop or acquire a curriculum that can be taught during the school year and summer months for sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth graders. The vendor must establish relationships with different school districts to set up classes to provide academic remediation/tutoring career/technical education case management contingency management counseling mentoring/advocacy monitoring attendance parent outreach youth development additional services (e.g., childcare center/parenting classes, school-based health center) Field trips Teenage pregnancy prevention College Tours Transitioning into High school Youth Leadership development Anti-bullying information Social Media awareness Self Esteem development Goal setting Career planning How to choose colleges and careers Etc.
