Specifications include, but are not limited to: Layout drawing attached. Option one-Exhaust system proposal: Furnish all labor material equipment and supervision to install a complete exhaust system in room 102 of building 4BIA. The exhaust system will be installed to draft from each welding booth. There will be a total of 15 welding booths. The exhaust system suction ductwork must extend down vertically to tabletop elevation to create a horizontal draft. Each suction duct will require a mechanical damper to balance the airflow. TSTC has salvaged a duct system, mechanical dampers and exhaust fan from an existing installation. The contractor is encouraged to re-use the ductwork and exhaust fan if it will reduce the cost of the project. If the owner furnished material is used, the contractor will need to furnish all hardware, additional ductwork, and mechanical dampers needed to make a complete operating system. The electrical service to the fan will not be a part of this contract. It is the responsibility of the contractor to inventory and evaluate all owner furnished material to determine if it is suitable for re-use. The exhaust fan should be vented to the outside of the building by penetrating the sidewall. The contractor will be responsible for furnishing and installing a louvered vent hood on the exterior of the building. All work will be performed in a workman like manner and meet all applicable codes. It will be the contractors responsibility to coordinate the installation with the electrical contractor on the project. A building permit will be required and applied for by TSTC however, the City will waive the cost of the permit. A trade permit will be required and paid for by the contractor. Engineered drawings will not be required however, the contractor will be responsible for drawings or sketches to a level as required for their trade permit. If additional information is required concerning the trade permit the contractor can contact George Rogers at the Breckenridge building inspection department, 254-559-8287 or cell 254-522-5216.
