Specifications include, but are not limited to: Specifications/Scope of Work for Items 1-11 of the Bid Pricing Sheet 2.1 Pleated Filters (1 inch, 2 inch, and 4 inch) The media used in the pleated filters shall be made of 100% synthetic fibers. The media shall be pleated in a tapered radial configuration. An expanded metal reinforcement shall be laminated to the air leaving side of the media by thermo-setting adhesive to maintain continuity of the radial pleats. The expanded metal shall be galvanized to resist rust and corrosion. The pleated cartridge shall be bonded to the peripheral interior of the outer frame. A heavy duty, moisture resistant beverage board (treated to resist moisture) shall be utilized for an encasing frame. The frame face shall be internally laminated to the pleated cartridge apexes. All pleated filters shall be rated Class 11 under UL900. Pleated filters shall have an average dust spot efficiency of 25-35% when tested in accordance with ASHRAE testing standard 52.1-1992 and MERV 7 rating when tested under ASHRAE standard 52.2. All 1 inch pleated filters shall have fourteen (14) pleats per lineal foot. All 2 inch pleated filters shall have ten (10) pleats per lineal foot. All 4 inch pleated filters shall have nine (9) pleats per lineal foot. 2.2 Disposable Panel Filters (Fiberglass 1 inch and 2 inch) Disposable filter element shall be constructed of a heavy duty kraft fiberboard frame. The filter shall have TWO METAL grills, one on air entering side and one on air leaving side. The two metal grills shall be thermally bonded to the frame. The metal grills shall be 28 gauge and provide 82% open area. All corners shall be closed and sealed. The filter media shall be coated with non-toxic, non-flammable, odor free adhesive. The media shall be constructed in a progressively dense fashion from air side. All filters shall be Class 11 under UL900. 2.3 High Efficiency, Extended Surface, Self Supported HEPA filters Frame: The frame shall be of a rigid construction made from 18 gauge galvanized steel. 12 Media: The media shall be constructed of micro fiber, water resistant, inorganic fiberglass that withstands temperatures up t 350 degrees Fahrenheit. The filter media pack shall be factory constructed by pleating a continuous sheet of ultra fine fiberglass media into closely spaced pleats which are separated by rolled edge corrugated aluminum. Separators Material: To be aluminum. Both outside edges are rolled to prevent media chaffing, tearing, and damage in handling. Sealant: The filter cartridge is to be completely sealed around is periphery. This shall be accomplished by the use of self-extinguishing, rubber based, two pan sealant and silicone which bonds with the metal frame and isolates the filter from external shock and prevents air by-pass. Gasket: Gaskets shall be downstream on the filter header. The gasket material shall be inch in width and inch in thickness made of a resilient material. Efficiency: Filters shall have an efficiency of 99.97% DOP and manufactured with DOP certified media. Filters shall be classified as high capacity filters. Filters shall be rated Class II under UL Standard 900. 2.4 Polyester Extended Surface Bag Filters All polyester extended surface bag filters shall incorporate ultra fine synthetic media. Individual pockets shall be formed by span stitching down the length of the pockets to maximize the utilization of the media. The stitching shall be coated with a thin line of hot melt adhesive to secure the thread to the media and seal any perforations in the media caused by sewing.
