Specifications include, but are not limited to: Technical and Functionality Requirements In addition to the General Requirements, the Scope of Services shall include, but not be limited to the following Contractor responsibilities: 4.1 All equipment, products, and material furnished under this specification shall be the latest improved model in current production, as offered to commercial trade, and shall be of quality workmanship and material. The respondent represents that all equipment/units offered under this specification shall be new. USED, SHOPWORN, DEMONSTRATOR, PROTOTYPE, REMANUFACTURED, RECONDITIONED, OR DISCONTINUED MODELS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE. 4.2 For this turnkey project the selected Contractor will furnish and provide all controls, material, supplies, parts, connectors, wiring, piping and labor to complete all needed electrical services, HVAC or mechanical services, piping modifications and necessary plumbing to initialize and install the new requested units stated below. 4.3 Contractor is responsible for obtaining and securing all required permits prior to the start of the project at its own expense. 4.4 Contractor is responsible for arranging and coordinating all inspection with the appropriate federal, state and local authorizes having jurisdiction. 4.5 Contractor is responsible for removal and properly disposing of the existing rooftop units and split systems in accordance to EPA guidelines. If crane/rigging service is required for the removal of the existing units and installation and set-up of the new units this will be the sole responsibility of the awarded Contractor. All cost associated with crane/rigging service shall be include in total project cost. 4.6 Contractor shall be responsible for the evacuate refrigerant from all the existing rooftop and split system units in disposing in accordance to EPA guidelines. 4.7 Contractor shall furnish and install new Commercial Rated High Efficiency Gas/Electric Roof Top Package Units. Air Conditioning Condenser Unit, Natural Gas Furnace - AFUE Efficiency Rating of 80 or better. 4.8.12 Each unit shall have factory and/or field installed hail guards 17 SOLICITATION BID NO. 2011-087-5655 4.8.13 Each unit shall have factory and/or field installed economizer 4.8.14 Factory control and electrical wiring and shall be contained within the unit cabinet. 4.8.15 The condenser units, air handlers, and coils must be from the same equipment manufacturer and match the proposed unit. 4.8.16 Furnish and install the necessary concrete pad for outside unit 4.8.17 Total Number of Split System Units to be Installed on the Roof: Twelve (12) 4.8.18 Factory Warranty Split System Units: 5 year compressor and 10 year heat exchange from the date of start-up. 4.8.19 Acceptable Brand: Trane, Carrier, Lenox , Rheem, York or County approve equal 4.9 Contractor shall furnish and install original equipment manufacturer (OEM) hail guards and economizer on each unit 4.10 Contractor shall furnish and install new electronic programmable thermostat for each unit. 4.11 All HVAC units shall be new, standard manufacturer production, and shall work properly upon job completion 4.12 Installation shall meet or exceed all applicable federal, state and local requirements, referenced standards and conform to codes and ordinances of authorities having jurisdiction. 4.13 All installation shall be in accordance with manufacturers published recommendations. 4.14 All installation shall be in accordance with ASHRAE standards and latest National Electric Code. 4.15 Contractor shall supply and furnish a certified installation technician to perform all the required electrical work associated with this project. All electrical work shall comply with all local and state code in regards to wire size, fusing, service disconnects and electrical conduit. 4.16 Power wiring to the units, including externally mounted service disconnect switch, shall be furnished and installed by the Contractor. Contractor shall furnish and install new plenum and ductwork required to insure a fully balanced and operational system. 4.17 Contractor shall furnish and install new curbs and curb adaptors designed specifically for the new units. Curbs and curb adaptors are not required on side discharge units unless they required by the manufacturer of the new units that your company is proposing. It is the responsibility of the Contractor to determine if curbs and curb adaptors are required based on the type of new replacement units being proposed for this project. The new roof top units curbs shall be properly mounted comply with National Roofing Contractors Association requirements and full compliance with the manufacturer's recommendations. Contractor shall determine exact location with regards to most efficient operation. However, the contractor shall insure a "coordinated placement" to minimize structural and service component disturbance to the building. 4.18 Slope of roof curb(s) shall match roof slope to provi
