Specifications include, but are not limited to: DESCRIPTION OF WORK A. Work to be done: The work to be performed under this contract and in accordance with these contract documents shall consist of furnishing all necessary plant, labor, materials, and constructing, installing, and performing all work shown and described in the contract documents, all of which are made a part thereof. B. Character of Work and Mechanics: The Work shall be executed in the best and most workmanlike manner by qualified, careful, and efficient mechanics skilled in the trade, and in strict accordance with the contract documents and standards of the industry. Only certified journeymen in respective trades or apprentices under the direct supervision of certified journeymen will be permitted to install, supervise installation of, alter or replace electrical and mechanical systems including but not limited to: pipe, plumbing, HVAC systems, electrical wiring, fire protection systems, welding equipment and devices. A licensed plumber as defined by the Texas Plumbing License Law, section1301.002-#4, A-D., will accomplish installation, alteration and testing of gas systems. A current plumbing, mechanical and electrical license, as indicated in the Supplemental General Conditions, will be recognized as certification upon approval of the Owners Designated Representative. Licenses shall be available at the pre-construction conference and from plumbers, mechanics and electricians at the job site throughout the contract performance. Work accomplished by unlicensed mechanics shall be removed and reinstalled by the contractor using licensed mechanics at no additional cost to TAMU.
