PURPOSE: The purpose of this Invitation to Bid is to establish a competitive contract for service work on Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) equipment and building management systems and Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) based on labor costs and parts mark-up for Plano Independent School District (Plano ISD) on an As Needed basis. All contractors supplying prices shall be established contractors whose primary business includes HVAC or VFD Maintenance/Repair contracting. Contractors will use the highest quality of installation techniques, meet all requirements of State, and comply with the Cities of Allen, Plano, Richardson, Murphy, Parker and Dallas codes. All contractors agree to provide service as soon as possible upon receipt of a purchase order. The estimated expenditure for this contract is approximately $250,000 per year. However, this estimate should not be construed to be a guarantee of either minimum or maximum since usage is dependent upon actual needs and available funding. This estimate may be exceeded by 25% annually It is the responsibility of the awarded vendor to provide the Plano Independent School District (Plano ISD) with a product and service that achieves the standards set forth herein. Any items or services not specifically mentioned in this document which is required to provide the product and/or service at the standard set forth will be the responsibility of the Contractor at no additional cost to Plano ISD. It is the responsibility of the successful bidder to meet the City Code and Construction Requirements of the six (6) six municipalities located within the Districts boundaries. This bid will be firm for one (1) year from date of award, with the option to be renewed for two (2) additional years, in one (1) year increments, provided all prices remain firm and both parties agree.
