Specifications include, but are not limited to: Removal and replacement of two (2) existing air handling units (AC-5W & AC- 7W) located in the basement of Jester Dormitory with two new units AHU -5W and AHU-7W and one new outside air pretreatment unit OAU-7W. Mechanical work includes Demo and installation of equipment and ductwork in the mechanical room. DDC controls for the AHUs. Electrical work includes demo of existing electrical for wiring of new starters for the new AHUs and VFDs for AHU -5W, AHU-7W and OAU-7W. Life Safety requires the installation of smoke detectors in the supply and return ducts. Base Bid is to provide a fully operational HVAC system including equipment, related electrical, sheet metal, piping, etc. . Time Schedule is based on the equipment being on site by June 11, 2011 and installation operational with beneficial use by August 3, 2011.
