Specifications include, but are not limited to: the replacement of the water main and street reconstruction including street lighting: On 22nd Avenue South from 5th Street South to 6th Street South, on 23rd Avenue South from 5th Street South to 6th Street South and on 6th Street South from 22nd Avenue South to 24th Avenue South. The existing 6” CIP water main was installed in 1962 & 1963 and has a record of multiple breaks. Replacement with DR18 PVC pipe will correct the situation. The street reconstruction is necessary to remedy deterioration of the existing asphalt street section that was installed in 1962 & 1963. The reconstruction will include an asphalt street section with new curb and gutter. All of the existing sanitary sewer services are made of vitrified clay pipe (VCP). The project will be funded by a combination of Sanitary Sewer, WM Replacement, Street Sales Tax Funds and Special Assessments. Assessments will be applied per City policy for the sanitary sewer service replacement, water main replacement, street reconstruction, and street light reconstruction.
