Specifications include, but are not limited to: Establish and maintain audit files to comply with federal, state, and local special education regulations. •Interpret and communicate federal and state IDEA 2004 regulations to staff, parents, & students. •Schedule and conduct eligibility & IEP meetings according to district protocol. •Work collaboratively with IEP team members in the development of Individualized Education Plans for students with disabilities. •Coordinate & communicate with related services personnel (OT, PT, SLT, Transportation and Specialized Transportation, Assistive Tech) for students with disabilities. •Share knowledge with building staff as it relates to special education services for students. (new statewide IEP, Inclusive schools initiative, accommodations/modifications, etc.) • Assist building staff to ensure students with disabilities are provided the core curriculum, and scientifically research-based interventions.
