Specifications include, but are not limited to: SKID Car System, a system built to attach to a vehicle to train officers on how to control their vehicle from skidding. This system has Electronic Stability Control and allows us to teach our officers skid control for not only old cars without ESC, but also for new generation vehicles. The SkidCar system uses hydraulics to lift the car just enough to limit normal traction to simulate driving on wet pavement, snow, ice, or dry pavement. This allow instructors to teach accident avoidance and loss of vehicle control recovery without the use of costly lubricants or specialized driving surfaces. Many of these lubricant and specialized driving surfaces require repeated applications to simulate these driving conditions which can become expensive and potentially have an adverse effect to the asphalt surface requiring additional maintenance.
